Ambra’s early life on the harsh streets of Albania was marked by a devastating injury to her left eye, leading to constant bleeding and swelling. In December 2022, her fortunes changed when compassionate rescuers found her curled up by the roadside and rushed her to an emergency animal hospital. There, she underwent eye enucleation surgery to remove the damaged eye, followed by stabilization with antibiotics, multivitamins, anti-inflammatories, and pain management.​

Post-surgery, Ambra was transported to Northern Italy and placed in paid boarding, where she received routine medical check-ups, including visits to an ophthalmologist, to ensure her recovery remained on track. Despite her past hardships, Ambra’s spirit flourished; she delighted in new toys and embraced a pain-free life, showcasing her resilience and capacity for joy.​

Her journey reached a heartwarming conclusion when a loving family adopted her, providing the safety and affection she had long been denied. Ambra’s transformation from a suffering stray to a cherished companion highlights the profound impact of dedicated rescue efforts and community support.​
